the humans

RatLandia Rattery was founded in 2005 thanks to human relocation. The original fourteen breeding stock rats from Ratz Realm of Pasadena, California (now dismantled)
rode along without issue on a cross-country move back to Michigan from Los Angeles.
For ten years we housed three bloodlines and then reduced to one in 2015. Rat breeding, husbandry and adoptions are a lot of work and major cutbacks were unavoidable.
In late 2016, RatLandia gained another human and moved into a much better facility. Further development plans were underway and have since stalled, unfortunately.
For now we are gracefully aging out the Star Line and adopting pets from other sources.

Our human has learned quite a bit from horses that relates to us. Horse herd dynamics are similar to what is found in rat colonies.
